We pray you have an amazing Valentines day today. Jesus said in John 15:12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” He also said in John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” The measure of our walk with God is measured by how well we love. Love in God isn’t some nebulous romantic feeling. Instead it is a solid firm foundation of commitment and self-sacrifice for Jesus and for our brothers and sisters in God. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” Simply put love isn’t just a word, love looks like something. Today put your love in action amid the romance of the holiday and step out and meet someones need in a practical way. Shine the love of Jesus to the world around you.
