Nativity Chronology – Day 3

Untitled-1Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are too small to be among the army groups from Judah, from you will come one who will rule Israel for me. He comes from very old times, from days long ago.”

800 years before Christ was born, the prophet Micah prophecies the place of his birth. The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Bethlehem means “the house of bread” and Jesus declared himself “The Bread Of Life” in John 6:35. Bethlehem is five miles southwest of Jerusalem and is also the birthplace of David.

Nativity Chronology – Day 2

Untitled-1 Isaiah 7:14 The Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be pregnant. She will have a son, and she will name him Immanuel

Isaiah prophesied that a great sign would come forth. A virgin would give birth to a son and name Him Immanuel.

Nativity Chronology – Day One

Untitled-1Psalm 132:11 The Lord made a promise to David, a sure promise that he will not take back. He promised, “I will make one of your descendants rule as king after you.”

The Lord told David that a descendant of His would rule as King. In other sections of scripture (Isaiah 9:6-7) we find that one of David’s descendant’s would rule on the throne of Israel forever.
