It is 1775. Henry Felder, a Swiss-German colonist, lives with his family in the Back-country of the British colony of South Carolina. However, he and his community are suffering under British injustice. After many years of struggling with corrupt British rulers, Felder is urged by the new patriot governor to write Articles of Separation from the English King. Felder’s old Indian fighting comrade, Bill Jenkins forms a Tory militia to assist the Crown as the fight heats up. Felder raises his own militia, including a woman tavern owner who gathers a patriot spy right. In the ensuing struggles Felder and his family discover the cost of freedom.

9/14/2015 7PM – Facing the Giants

Facing the Giants is a 2006 Christian drama film from the staff and volunteers of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. The movie was directed by and stars Alex Kendrick. The supporting cast was composed of volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church, and it is the second of four feature-length films that Sherwood Pictures have done. Shot in Albany, Georgia, the film relates an underdog story about American football from an evangelical Christian worldview.

9/21/15 7PM – Mr. What

An inspirational drama about Mattiesko Wuopio, a man who has spent twenty-two years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Upon apprehension of the real criminal, Mattiesko is released, only to face the stigma of jail time as he re-enters society in tiny Tecumseh, Michigan. He seeks redemption through his ailing father, who is beset with Alzheimer’s disease, along with an endearing little boy and a stray dog. The story reveals that miracles are never far away, especially when one is needed.
